The City Hall is a town hall in the center of Franeker in Renaissance style. The City hall is listed in the top 100 of the The Cultural Heritage Agency for the conservation of monuments
It was designed and executed by local masters in the late sixteenth century. The stepped gables and lantern tower catch the eye, and if you look closely, you will see Lady Justice the goddess of justice posted high above the entrance on a supporting stone against the gable
The City Hall is open for free viewing Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 – 5:00 pm.
